A stunning and unique art form, scratchboard is not something you see too often.  Scratchbord is a clay coated hardboard panel which is coated with black India ink.  The drawing is made by using sharp tools to scratch away the ink to reveal the white clay underneath.  The results are brilliantly crisp and dramatic.  Color can even be  added to scratchboard, which can give rich, vibrant life to the detailed drawings.
