I am irresistibly drawn to old photographs of family, and I am inspired to reinvent the portrait studio of old through my artwork.  By the time I've completed each drawing, I feel a new connection to these ladies and gentlemen.

These drawings are usually done on gray-toned paper, using pen and ink stippling, or monochrome brush tip pens with white charcoal highlights.
