This sculpture is created in
memory of my dear friend, Jana,
who brought so much joy to
those she knew.
 
Remarkable Ewe was made shortly after the death of a very dear friend of mine.  Her name was Jana Huck, and she created the most extraordinary knitting designs and patterns you can imagine.  Since she worked with wool so much, sheep were very dear to her.  This sculpture was made in her memory and it was a way for me to try to carry on, to cope, and to heal after losing such a great friend.
 
Remarkable Ewe is made with fencing and paddle wire (including all that curly wire) as well as dark annealed wire for the head and legs.  She measures 5.25 inches long by 3.5 inches tall by 2.25 inches wide.
