Just one bite.  Is that too much to ask?  He wishes only for a taste, a simple sample.  He’s not so harmful, he’s not that deadly.  He’s simply a hungry little spider looking for a bit of dinner, a bite, a snack.  It shouldn’t be so upsetting.
